DavidTheSlayer
As some of you may know, I'm trying to get DOA faces into oblivion within some reasonable success for months now. I have full facegen program and have been playing around with that, the CS & photoshop for a while but only with little success. I wish to use HGEC body with these heads (or faces if you prefer), so what I'm have toyed with is simply modifying the HGEC "headhuman" texture, but again little success. Facegen has done a good job and created an .obj file for me, along with some various other bits of textures that facegen exported. Upon reading Throttlekitty's guides and Head06 readme. I can't seem to figure out how to generate the following.... 1) .egt - texture I presume, for the head, it allows changing the head's tones (colour I believe). 2) Normal-map file for the skin texture's. I can get a .DDS correctly. 3) .egm - responsible for changing the head's shape. 4) .nif the model itself, I tried importing the .obj file into nifskope and exported it as is, but this hasn't helped me as I'm a newbie at this. 5) .tri - File responsible for expressions (think actors in emotions). If anyone can help me with any of this please PM me (are reply here ofcourse) and I'll send you the .obj file from facegen. Note that the eyes need to wider like they are in DOA but I wouldn't mind two files, one with wide or bigger eyes, the other default oblivion ones. Obviously, credit and kudo's to all who can help me and show me how.I wish to release this on texnexus, so please if your going to help, make sure you don't mind your work being submitted to a public domain. Lastly, I'm going to try and do all the DOA girls, these project really needs a good kick up the a**e to get moving due to my lack of skills. If anyone can show me what they do, then I can take the rest from there if need be. @admins: Yes I know its another attempt, but I'm sure I'm close, I can smell it! Lucherenren
Well, creativity is always good, but you might want to check the most estabilished cosmetic mods for face, hair and eyes: there are already good tools for those who like developing anime/videogame-style characters. I'm not saying you shouldn't try, but while you work there's ample room to test them out. As for bodies, HGEC offers overall great flexibility (I'd wager people such as Tina or Rachel would probably use the GUTS variant). Regarding males, such as Hayabusa, Robert's is the body replacer to go, and given Tecmo's style, I'd use the muscular variation (seems appropriate at least for Ryu, Hayate, Mr. Lee and Zack). There are also retextures you can use to fine-tune the final results (example: visibly "ripped" appearance), in the same guise as HGEC. For Bass, you can either opt to increase scale with the console, or create a separate race in the CS (in that case, build him around a bulkier model to begin with, such as the one used for Orcs). DavidTheSlayer
I can try and keep doing so as long as I can figure out how to generate those mention files above as it would mean a more closer match. Thanks for the advice though I'll bear it in mind. Still looking at NEC's mods and his PSD file he gave me.
