Elmirill
Hello!Im new at mods and want to ask:Could retexture mods substitute localized names of items or places etc?How could I understand that specific mod may spoil localization? Perhaps the file structure of the mod? What kind of files can change localized items names? For example, .dds file can? Sorry for my english.Thank you. Dart98Rock
.dds files are for textures and shouldn't change names of anything. If you want to change the name of an area, I'm pretty sure you use the Creation Kit.
Elmirill
Thank you, Dart98Rock Actually, I wanted t ask, what types of files could affect the localization?
scrivener07
\skyrim\Data\Interface\Translate_<lang>.txt and the TESV.exe you got from steam also I think plugins support their own translate files.
Elmirill
Anybody knows exactly what files of plugins (except of .esp) could modify translation?
scrivener07
Anybody knows exactly what files of plugins (except of .esp) could modify translation?Seriously, .txt files modify translation. If you dont have these translate files and a mod is still not in your preferred language then the mod was specifically written in a certain language and someone would have to create a translation file. Besides, your being really vague. What mod has you thinking texture files are changing your translation?
