ChicagoJoe
Ok, so normally I use MO2. I decided to try Vortex because of multiple reasons, one of which is version control. (F4SE, ENB, Performance tuner.......) So I installed and am now going bald trying to figure out how to select 'Mod Type' prior to unpacking. As far as I can tell, this isn't an option. It however needs to be, and I'll explain why. Possibly I'm missing something and someone can point it out to me. I have F4SE Version 0.06.20 (for the sake of Vortex' version scheme I renamed it to v0.6.20) and I have it zipped up into a new package like so: I then drag n drop it into vortex and 'install' it. However, Vortex assumes it's a normal mod and unzips anything in the Data directory into the top level. An example: As you can see, on the left is the compressed archive on my desktop, in the open folder is the resulting extract Vortex did. Is there a way that I'm missing to tell Vortex this is a 'dinput' mod and to ignore it's internal data directory rule?
Solution ChicagoJoe Posted March 11, 2020 Author Solution Share Posted March 11, 2020 Yep, ok. nevermind. I figured it out. Apparently Vortex 'knows' the scripts directory belongs inside the data directory and places it correctly when 'installed'... My guess is it has some rule internally that flags directories that were nestled in a data directory in the zip/ 7z/ rar. <shrugs>
