QuidProQuoBrute
Hey so I have a youtube channel where I review mods (check it out http://www.youtube.com/user/QuidProQuoBrute?feature=mhee) I was just wondering what are some underrated mods available so that I can review them and give them the light of day
JessicaPH
There's a section for newly released mods, you could go through them and pick which one's you like and ask if they don't mind their mod being featured on a youtube review, most probably won't mind :)http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/latestmods/ Edit: A lot might be just getting into modding and this could bring encouragement to many. Xaranth
That what I thought about doing, but its tough to know about the quality of mod ya know, people upload a lot of "beta" or "WIP" modsSo i've kinda tried that Honestly? Feedback is needed, especially if you're on your first mod. More importantly, there's a sense of accomplishment from actually having something that can be downloaded online that can be extremely important. DARC: PH is really not ready, and wasn't when V0.6 or even the first public version was released. Heck, it still isn't but I'm putting an upload package together as soon as I can sort this flow control issue. Partly for feedback, and partly because if I don't have the upload targets, then I'm quite likely to just toss it and start doing something else. It's a motivational thing. Another thing to consider is that 'Beta' and 'WIP' quality can vary wildly.
QuidProQuoBrute
I'm fine with people posting their unfinished products as long as they are labled as such, but they are not what i am looking for exactly for a mod review channel. beta testing can be fun. I agree that these projects that are uploaded can vary widedly and that people use the word "Beta" too liberally
JessicaPH
People make mods for themselves, and they are not products lol, I don't see anyone selling anything. :P Most mods are wips or betas anyway and are constantly updated to be better. I understand your concern for not wanting to review something, give it a good score or whatever, only to find out something is wrong with it and then people are mad at you, so that would bad. So test them first check for ITM's and UDR's and wild or unintended edits so you know It's clean and a good mod, even some of the more popular mods can and do have dirty or wild edits. You plan to try these mods before you review them, don't you?
QuidProQuoBrute
Honestly, no. I like to review as I go, so that I can capture my first thoughts of the experience. Perhaps, I can't always do that though.
pintocat
The Callahan Fullbore Autolock (Jayne's gun "Vera"). I haven't used any other gun since I got it. It's an NVSE-powered gun that can swap its ammo caliber (which also includes its damage etc) to any gunpowder ammo type. It also requires Selective Fire. The gun uses the "Y" key to swap caliber (with HUD element showing the current caliber and its base damage with the gun). You can then use Selective Fire to change the fire rate (single/burst/fully automatic). And of course vanilla's ammo swapping within a given caliber. Ran out of your main caliber? Swap to one you have. Found a handful of good caliber but don't have or want to carry a gun for 10 bullets? Swap to it when you want.
