yungskiz Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 ive seen the port of alexscorpions smoke grenades on the nexus, ive also seen that there are no files. i think smoke grenades would be a cool edition if they could be implemented properly. im also going to try and work on them, i have to get the geck again first....and slowly....remember how to use it..... but anyway i cant do new models and such, so what im thinking is using the incendiary grenade as a base NOT A REPLACER. now i may be thinking of another game, but in fonv i believe the inc. grenade produces an orange cloud, i dont use them ingame...or grenades at all for that matter...much. but anyway what im planning is taking the damage down to zero or as low as i can, and here is where im thinking of how to replicate the effects of a smoke grenade, i would want to have a large blast/effective radius, (and i believe that i would somehow need to make a copy of the explosion model, then edit that copy and increase the size, and change the color, hell i would have multiple colors! which beats me as how to do...) but anyway im thinking stat effects here, no idea on how severe but reduced perception (bad visibility) and possibly reduced agility and guns skill, your bumbling around in a plume of smoke chances are your not going to be able to move around well or hit anything with your gun. im also thinking about cs grenades with a paralysis (spelling :() effect and poison maybe use the cloud from dead money? i dont know tell me what you guys think, or if someone wants to make it, it would be better than me using vanilla models (especially since i think the inc. grenade says incendiary on it lmao) i know smoke seems useless in a game where the enemies are ai and they dont physically "see" you so smoke wouldnt do much in game but thats why i would throw in the stat hits, also i play nv like a tactical shooter, and im not sure what the value of these smoke grenades would be but if you play the game hardcore, like limit the amount of ammo/guns/stuff you carry to below your carry weight then you could use a grenade to call for a vertibird from whatever enclave commander mod you may be using (to balance the free vertibird summoning) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
