SolidWolfMods
I need help: I want to make a replacer mod, to replace Nordwar's Guard armors's shields, but the problem is ... i know what shields i want to take but i have no clue how to have them as individual meshes with their textures. This is the mod, when you open the folder containing the shields of all the guard factions, there are only 3 meshes, i dont understand, and of course what i need to proceed to make my mod is to have individual mesh and texture for each hold shield to be able to simply pick them and replace the ones i want to replace. Here is the mod containing the shields i need as individual meshes and textures for each shield:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63346?tab=description Once i have an individual mesh and texture for each shield, i can start working on my replacer :)
thumbincubation
They probably use texture sets, similar to the vanilla guard armors and shields. Let's say you have one shield that you want 4 different patterns on, instead of having 4 meshes, 4 diffuse maps, 4 normal maps, etc., you can use 1 mesh. Here's some info on them. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Using_Texture_sets_for_Skyrim https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=TextureSet Edited March 17, 2020 by thumbincubation
SolidWolfMods
Thanks Thumbincubation, i finally found that the newer replacer made by Mayponce DOES have the individual meshes and textures Lol, im going to manually download that one and use those assets, and after i finish the mod, will ask for permissions to upload. Thanks for the help.
