SargeWashington
I'll skip the usual whiny ass bullcrap and get straight to the point. My Fallout 3 crashes at (seemingly) random. I've checked everywhere I can think to, and have not found any useful tips. Tried updating, that did nothing. Huge freak'n fallout fan here, so to me, this not working is a mortal blow. CFriis87
I think I have the same problem. But all my computer tells me every time it happens is that my display driver had some sort of failure and then recovered.
Gorbachev
I have these random crashes too. I also have the same processor but with 1GB ram temporarily. Also I'm using an ATI4850 which gives me problems with a lot of games. Try googling for Fallout 3 tweaks as this reduced my crashes by 75 percent. gandalftw
Might try installing to the same drive as your OS.I don't know if secuROM can tell the difference between a virtual drive and a slave.Be worth a try.
SargeWashington
Well, they still happen, but I have found no solid ideas.
Uzibeatle
Well, if you have not done so already I'd start here and work down the list. 1 Remove that overclock and run a while to see what happens.2 Soundblaster card. Could well be a problem for this game with your config. Try disabling it and if possible use thesystem board built in sound for a while.3 Does the problem go away if running in windowed mode? (or vice versa) Try it.4?5. Profit Sorry , I'm out of ideas at present but that is a start based on what you posted. I have occasional seemingly random crashes but I usually can 'sense' when it is about to occur and in my systems case it is tied to some memory leak. The crashes are so rare I dont' fuss but have learned to be safeand save if in doubt. I have more crashes than in the past (default game) and I attribute that mainly to one or two fat texturemods I installed (landscape textures). I dont' think you qualified how often these crashes occur. How often ? Oh, and you didnt' mention op system used there.
