Using Vortex ver 1.1.15

Modding Fallout 4 GOTY

No active mods yet, still trying to get them to install.

Sys: Windows 10 Pro 64bit, 16GB RAM, ASUS/Nvidia GTX 1050TI 4GB, Intel i5 3.4Ghz

Basically, whenever I try to download using the Vortex button on Nexus Mods, I get this warning:

Also, if I migrate files already downloaded from my computer to my wife's computer (on her's now) then I get the same error.

However, for most files, if I choose manual download, then extract the Zip/Rar files, rename the base folder, archive them in 7zip uncompressed, then open properties, and tick Read Only, then OK, then open properties and untick Read Only, then hit OK again, drag into Vortex where it says "Drop File(s)" one at a time (specifically, if I try to batch drop them, rejected) then it'll accept 9 out of 10 mods that way but still perma rejects a few.

I have virtually the same system with exception of the i7 processor on mine and 32GB RAM (which should not matter in theory) and I have not had any of these troubles at all before.

I found a workaround that has me 75% satisfied, but was wondering if there was something stupid I missed that I did on my setup different from hers...

Hopefully this is specific enough an explanation, and thanks in advance for any ideas as installing (literally) 101 mods is going to take forever this way... I will likely finish it before I get a response but will check back later to see what was said for future reference...

Okay, scratch that request -- or archive it for others... The issue was with her security settings, properties>security>user name -- where it says allow/deny only "write" was checked for some odd reason. Set it to "full control" and the issue went away...
