Dynamic Difficulty Modifications

Here's the idea and I don't think it would even be that tough. I just really suck with the CK. :(

A couple of times per second, pull a random actor from x distance from the player.

Check if they're a bad guy or not.

If they're bad, add a random effect or two or three (magic effect or just straight modifier) to them to make them harder (or easier, I guess). Some ideas include:

+ magic resistances

+ health

+ damage resistances

+ movement speed upgrades

+ increased level (to block some spells that only effect monsters below a certain levels)

+ damage modifiers

+ spawn another baddie right next to them? <--This'd be especially awesome!

+ other magic effects

+ many other possibilities

+ (think Diablo II where the monsters got random modifiers added to them)

Then add some sort of magic effect to them that does nothing but lets us know they've been "upgraded" so we don't keep upgrading the same bad guy over and over again.

And that's it.

I think this would be far more interesting than the currently lame vanilla difficulty system.

Doing it this way would be awesome too because it wouldn't conflict with any other mods that mess with leveled lists or even mods that add new monsters would still be supported. In fact, I can't think how this would conflict with anything.

Maybe also check the baddie's level vs. the players and, if they're way lower or something, give them super boosts to make up for how most dungeons have a max level (so lame).

If you really want to go all out, you could also add in a menu system to let the player dynamically change how strong of bonuses/how many random bonuses monsters receive.

Hope someone makes this because skyrim's getting lame after I reached invincible status at like level 10....
