FPS Drop when using a Custom Armor

Title really says it all, i am new to skyrim modding but i have created a couple of custom armors that i have imported to skyrim and currently use.

There is one armor in particular that drops my fps pretty hard.

I havent actually measured how much they drop, i usually play at around 55-70 fps but i bet they drop to around 20ish-40 when i put that armor on.

 

Any idea what may be causing it?

 

I can upload the armor somewhere if anybody is willing to take a look at but in all honestly i am just looking for general tips at what might be the problem with the fps drop.

 

The armor was made using 3ds max.
