Have you downloaded mods that you're trying to get to work or are you wanting to make your own mod? If you are installing downloaded mods you don't need to open any BSA files. Smosh
im only trying to install new mods, but then how do install things like textures without getting into those .BSA files You download the textures that you want and then put them in the relevant folders inside the Data directory of you main Fallout folder. This is from another of my posts. "If the file is an .esp file it needs to go in your Data folder which will be inside the Fallout 3 main directory. Textures go in their respective folders and need to have the pathway to the files entered into the ArchiveInvalidation.txt (you may need to make this using notepad) and it goes in your main Fallout directory. You need to change your ini so that bInvalidateOlderFiles=1. By default it's 0 Make sure you change the correct ini. It should be in MyDocuments/MyGames/Fallout3/Fallout.ini" I hope that explains everything you need to get things working. The majority of downloads should come with a read me which should explain what you need to do with each mod. If not, please use the search function as there is a lot of help already posted around this board.
