morrowind1979
I have been trying to make custom armor for about 3 days now. I am having a very annoying problem I used nifskope to set triangles to 0 on the female blacksmith outfit so I was only left with the skirt. I have then combined this with nightingale armour and remade the skin partition. everything looks fine in nifskope and the CK. But when I put the armor on ingame the skirt part is all messed up. See attached screenshot. Can anyone help me out here, its driving me insane tries everything I can think of.

morrowind1979
i may not be right about this but as far as i know you cant make the skin partition in nifskope. Yeah it easy you just right click on the mesh and choose create skin partition. Done it before with a single mesh. I think the problem lies in trying to combine 2 different meshes that have different skeletons. If anyone noes how to do this (without the highly sucky blender) It would be a greta help
simulacrum0
dint know that about nifskope never tryed that but i do know it is the skeletons. female and male skeletons are not the same so there is no way to do what you want in nifsskope and even if there was the vertex groups and weight pant would be way off on a male. so you have to do it in blender its not that hard once you get the hang of it. Got is sorted. It can be done in Nifskope like this: export the female clothes as a .obj, import it into the male armor mesh, insert a bsdismemberskininstance and attach to the female robe trishape and set all the bones to match the dismeberskininstamce on the male armor, next copy and paste the Niskindata from the female robe to the new dismember skininsatnce you just created. Now the bottom half of the skirt work fine and the top half of the mesh is all distorted but as I wont be needing the top half of the female armor I am just going to set all the triangles in the trishape data to 0 and voila job done!!!
