Seattleite
If anybody is interested, I've got a hell of a mod I've been itching to show off. (Mostly gameplay effects.) And while I was planning out an LP, a thought occured to me. I could make a Machinima instead. It'd do the same job, but better. I'm a half-decent video editor, a good writer and a voiceactor with more voices than I care to count. There's just one problem: My character is tiny and female. I am large (well largish, 84kg) and male. While my concept does allow me to do some voice acting, I can't voice her. (I've got myself scripted in as the voice of her father, which she hears in her head. Make of that what you will.) So I need somebody who can convincingly voice a seven-year old girl to make the Machinima work. (Or this show is probably going to suck.) If I can't get a voice actress, I'll just do an LP and have her words appear in captions at the bottom of the vid. A bit wierd, but I can do it alone. Now, if I could, I'd like an artist with decent animating skills and too much time on their hands to come along and animate the fight scenes (somewhat like how the recent seasons of RvB have animated fight scenes, just less flashy) as well as a few other things, but I doubt that is going to happen. By the same token, if anybody would be willing to make an intro for the series once it starts, that would be very much appreciated. (All I can offer in return is thanks and a direct link from the vids to your youtube channel for both cases.) A few facts about the concept: The HUD will remain on. I NEED it to play, and the mod actually makes the game harder, not easier. The camera will be in 3rd person to cover up a few issues I've been having rigging the rifles I brought over from Fallout 3 and a few more brought on by her tiny size. This will be explained as being her "father's" point of view. Again, make of that what you will. This is a Wild Wasteland mod. If her dad is somehow watching and communicating with her (and how, as well as what that makes him) or if this is all in her perforated head is up to the viewer's interpretation. The Chargen selection menus will all be cut. You also will only see her pip-boy outside of combat. (Mostly for maps and such. Even then, not much.) A few facts about the character: Name: FalsieSex: FemaleAge: 7Race: Caucasian (child)Height: 125cmWeight: 42kgHair: OrangeEyes: Hazel Special:Str: 4Per: 2 (3-1, four eyes)End: 9Cha: 1Int: 9Agl: 7 (5+2, small frame. Yes, small frame is a +2 now.)Lck: 9 Overall, she's actually very strong for a girl of her age. However, she is extremely nearsighted and wears glasses to correct this. She is flexible, but her coordination suffers due to her poor vision. (Thus mediocre agility despite her young age.) She is extremely tough and wether she's incredibly lucky or she's brilliant and just looks lucky is up for debate. However, there is no debating her brilliance itself. With her intelligence and her luck, she could do anything she wanted if she wasn't socially retarded, rude, belligerent and incredibly blunt. Tag skills:MedicineSurvivalUnarmed Possible extra tags:RepairMelee Traits:Built to DestroyFour eyesSmall frameTrigger disciplineWild Wasteland (Requirement) Falsie is a young girl originally from Washington. Her family moved to California to avoid a war between two groups called "The Seattleites" and "The Undead." (Not going into that now.) Falsie's mother was almost constantly pregnant or recently so (she's horny and not very patient about it) and couldn't work. Her father took up a local job at a hospital to help cover her expenses while all the family's children looked for work to help their severely underpaid father with the bills. Falsie took up courier work within California. She ran packages for years before she switched over from a Californian company (I don't care enough to name them) to the Mojave Express. She's been with them for a couple months, and you know what happens with the platinum chip. Falsie is short-tempered, brash and often violent. While she is quite compassionate and is mostly interested in helping her loved ones, she reads ending threats as part of that task and she's so defensive she's frequently beaten people until they couldn't stand for as little as a snide remark about her family. Her violence extends to everybody she doesn't like, regardless of status. She's beaten down the rich and the poor, humand and ghouls, civilised and tribal with equal ferocity, and most of these were adults. She's shown a preference to breaking adults and targets percieved authority figures first. (Yeah, she's taking "Row, Row, Fight the Power!" first chance she gets.) However, she's fairly merciful with other children, being much slower to anger with them and generally cooling down faster. She outright hates the NCR based on their brief history. To her, the NCR is made up of its people, and she knows plenty about the NCR's people. They provided her father a job at a hospital over a more qualified applicant when they saw his pressing need, but they did it because they knew they could low-ball him on pay. They provided her family free shelter for the first few months, but they did it so they could rape them with interest. They let her become a courier despite her age, but that's so they could pay her shamefully little. Every time her family interacts with the people of the NCR, they're given something they desperately need, but only so they can be screwed in the long run. Her opinion of the NCR basically amounts to "Corrupt, incompitant and unsrupulous, but neccessary." She hates the NCR with a bright, hot, flaming passion. She'd like nothing more than to free her family. To pay off their debt, buy out their contracts and get them out of California. But at the moment, she lacks the means. A few facts about the mod: Damage is significantly higher, especially for melee weapons. Doubly so for blades, which can be outright devestating against unarmoured opponents. (Blunt weapons, however, skip DT.)Armour is much stronger, providing very high DT and a smaller (but still meaningful) DR. This is countered by giving firearms penetration effects. (So far, the ammunition effects don't work for the AI. If anybody has a workaround, I'd LOVE to hear it.) As a result, some low-damage weapons can be very effective against armour. For instance, service rifles deal 15-30 damage, but pretty much ignore armour up to heavy. Meanwhile, a combat knife deals 50-100+10*Str (*1.2 if heavy handed) and yet you have to power attack to get through medium armour with more than the current minimum of 10% damage.Stimpacks are temporary. They give 60-120hp and wear off slowly over the course of a minute. You will collapse if your health hits zero again.Food restores a tiny bit of limb condition, but drinks still restore health. (It makes sense if you think about it enough.)Some items (healing powder, bitter drink, human flesh) restore health and limb condition.Bloodpacks are now powerful healing tools. Once hematophage (again, brought it back) is taken, they're the best healing items (for health and health only) in the game.ALL chems are addictive, even if only a little bit.Playable children, obviously. They're all sorts of cute.Better radiation/needs effects. (This mod is meant for Hardcore and Wild Wasteland only.)Five traits, rather than two.Tagging skills doubles advancement, rather than adding 15 immediately.SPECIAL stats are WAY more important. (In theory. There's a bug with skill points that is holding me back, but we won't see that in the show.)New, more believable special effects on energy weapons. (Fatigue/electricity on alien weapons, fire for plasma weapons, fire for lasers on critical only.)Explosives have a huge radius on them and somewhat greater damage. (Although with the better armour, they aren't as effective against single targets anymore.)Nuclear weapons are now so powerful it's difficult to find a way to use them without killing yourself.Bullets are no longer hitscan. Most projectiles move faster, especially missiles. All actors have natural DR and DT based on their endurance, even the player. The player is much more balanced against the AI. (Once the ammunition effects work for the AI, I'll make their formulas more or less the same. Until then, the player has less health to compensate for enemy bullets somehow bouncing off their armour the way it does.)There are way more perks and recipes, a good number of new weapons and even new enemies.Health slowly regens depending on your endurance. At 10 endurance, it's as good as the regen implant. Sleeping in an owned bed heals you a fair bit, but it doesn't heal you to full.Children have a few perks specific to them. While these perks are pretty good, and in fact they are generally better than adult perks of their levels, they're still low-level perks. Kids have a few other advantages, such as getting the otherwise unavailable "Child at Heart," getting a better xp bonus from being well rested and regenerating twice as fast. These are all pretty small advantages overall, but they're there.Their smaller size also means being hit a bit less, but they do lack in reach and thus have a hard time in melee combat. The loss in reach is easily the bigger issue of the two, because AI still hit them just fine and their height means they get hit in the head a lot more. Hence the advantages they're given to counterbalance that.
