In regards to OpenLock Spells

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

This is in regards to the Open Lock Spells mod, http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/157, and I'm not sure if this is the right place to post here.

I have modified the .dazip and it was mostly for myself as I got it working with all DLC campaigns, Awakening included (Did not include the Darkspawn Chronicles, as I don't think there's any need for it)

And thus far, I don't need to modify my AddIns.xml in the documents and keep switching them to each campaign. I only fixed up the manifest.xml WITHIN the .dazip itself so they'd work with all DLC campaigns, and I have tested this. They all work and I'm now wondering if I should post this modified .dazip for anyone to use here? Unfortunately the mod author, jwvanderbeckhas been gone for two years... and knowing the copyright thing, I'm not so sure..

If I've followed what you've done here, it was this:

There was a mod for DA:O made by someone else. You figured out how to make it work with all the later campaigns; DA:A, GoA, WH, (and LS?) by making a tweak to the content of the "manifest.xml" (which is nothing but a set of file listings and settings.)

Don't see a problem here, the creative content is not the tabular data. Just be sure to credit the original author.

Alright then, I suppose I'll post it and credit the author. I'm just wondering that's all. I did the Leliana's Song as well. Thanks, Thandal =)

@thingy123;

Thinking about this some more, I realized that it really depends on the permissions the author gave for the original mod. If it was "No permission to use in other mods...." etc., then a better approach for you would be to post just your modified manifest.xml, and link players to the unchanged original explaining that your mod makes the other one work across all the campaigns. :thumbsup:
