Hi everyone,

 

my english is not the best so please excuse some mispellings and confusing sentences ;-)

i am a total newbie in modding but i am willingly to learn ...

 

im arfraid this will be a kind of question blog, from me to you because there will come a lot. Please be assured that before i write here, i watch all the helpful videos and read all tutorials i can find... but somethings are too confusing or me to understand in english,.. or are not easy to find in the internet.. and therefore i write here and hope to not bother you.

My Problems/ Questios for you so far: (if you speak german, please feel free to answer in german. I understand that a lot better than english ;-)

 

First Question: Because i have no experience in 3d Sculpting or programming, i am only be able to use mods from talented guys and girls like you... not without permission ofcourse.

But i have not managed to add any of your mods into my plugin. I have already written bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 in the "SkyrimEditor.ini" to be able to load multiple Masterfiles. And that worked. Then i renamed the characters or the items i want to have in my mod. (for testing) because the Plan is that someone who wants to play my Mod someday, dont has to change his/her whole Skyrim world. I want the new weapons, clothes, weather, textures and so on, only in my seperate mod.

the Plan is something like a merge with all cool mods i am allowed to use without forcing the User to load all these mods for him self.

---- untill now i did not managed to change a single thing besides using the skyrim Master datas and items...

 

Second Question: When i want to use a Mod which is already a expended Mod from another Person.. who i should ask for permission to use it? and what if the Person is not reading it or dont answer?

 

Third Question: Is there anyone in Hamburg/Germany who wants to train a new modder from time to time?

The Plan:

I want to build an Haven-City (i know its a big Task for the first time modding) but i thougt a lot of it and finally with skyrim it seems possible to make the city visible for others...

Someday it should be something like a mix between Venice and Dubrovnik. And it should contain some thievery, rougueish Cloak and Dagger Style with some Musketeers, beautiful Ladies and a lot of spanish or italian inspired flair from the venice-renaissance...plus courtesans, whores...and Pirates^^

I hope for someone who makes textures and balcony for venecian houses.. fencing animation, one shoulder cloaks, spanish hats, and explains me how to give life, quests and voices to the Nps. *pray*

Let's see.

Don't do that. There's way to much potential to screw that up. Plus, if you want to upload your mod you will likely not get much interest because everyone will find something they don't like.

It's nothing wrong with trying your hand at everything, but keep it in seperate mods.

Several smaller mods are easier to work on and better to fix if you break something. Plus, you can set yourself smaller goals which are easier to reach. Do it step by step.

You have to ask everyone who's assets you want to use. Track down the original authors.

Because someone has permission to use something does not mean he/she can give you permission to use it. You need to ask the original author.

If you want to use something that was created by one person adn later (with permission) changed by another you best ask both.

That's a NO, you can't use that assets.

shure i will ask the modders who invented each part.

 

the reasonn because i want all my changes in one mod is that its a new country.. so if you are not interested in spanish clothes,.. dont visit an spanish haven ^^... thats the reason why i want to merge it all into one mod..

the secont reason is,... when i use some mods like for example apachii hair in a seperate asset... the user is forced to install apachii hair as well so that all the npcs in the world use that hair.. but i wont that only my spanish guys have the hairstyle...

and when the user would not like to installl that mod as well.. all my spanish nps would look like normal skyrim citizens...

do you understand my problem?

 

 

next Question: where do i find the template for pollination, where seed flys through the air? I need an hot summer climate and weather.. with just a few clouds and an bright sun but in the moment i dont even managed to have a night sky. pls give me some hints ;-)
