MateGerk
Hi, i am creating one of my first mods on skyrim. There is an in-game armor mesh that I intend to modify, I need to remove its lower part. On outfit studio, there is no "remove" command and in nifskope, if I click the block I want to remove and do "remove", then in outifit studio and body slide it remains. I created the textures in gimp and they work, how can I remove a piece of armor? (a vanilla game armor) Edited March 27, 2020 by MateGerk
NexusComa
You can use Remove Block in NifSkope. It's kind of hacking so don't expect it to be perfect or even work every-time. Also if the armor is part of the BodySlide files. In the BodysSide's ShapeData folder there is a master .nif file that it uses to create the one in your data folder. So every time you run the BodySlide your armor in the data folder with get overwrote. The OutfitStudio is showing you the .nif file from the ShapeData folder. You need to edit the one in the BodysSide's ShapeData folder (make sure you make a backup 1st). NifSkope also has a few cleaning options... Spells \ Optimize \ Remove Bogus Nodes and Remove Unused Strings. Again this can also trash the .nif sometimes. For the most part it will do the job for what you're doing. NexusComa
I've always used NifSkope to do what you are doing.
