feetjemaryam
CTD's. Again, and again, and again, and again. Doesn't seem to be caused by GPU overload, or at least, Skyrim Performance Moniter shows 98% on the crash. It hits a 100% sometimes easily but it won't necessarily crash. As for as I know I have all the appropriate patches for my mods installed. I did the anti-CTD ENBoost thing. I SSEdited it. I cleaned dirty files, turned down video settings, PC restart, turned off Vsync, generated FNIS..I did more than this, I don't even remember anymore. Can somebody PLEASE for the love of God, help me with this? After troubleshooting I'm speculating that it might be my load order. I feel like it's been crashing a lot more after I allowed LOOT to organize my list. I tried to kind of sort it out myself, but with no success.I can't seem to pin-point whether it's certain mods causing this. I started out by turning off half my mods, and I didn't get CTD's anymore. I introduced bundles of 5 mods back to the list until the CTD's started again. But when I tried the 'problem bundle' each at a time, I couldn't figure it out anymore, it would keep crashing, even if I turned off the entire bundle again. I flipped the procedure, did this with the other half of my mods. Same thing happens. It doesn't seem to be one mod or another, rather some magical combination between all these mods. It seems to happen at random somewhat. Sometimes happens when I coc somewhere. Player.placeatme Frost crashes it sometimes. Fast traveling does it sometimes. Simply dismounting a horse does it sometimes. Approaching a city could do it, or just randomly roaming around the map. It just finds a way to happen. Tried to mod Skyrim SE last year, but the CTD's were worse. I ran on a full HDD back then. Now I got an SSD and it seems to be a lot more stable. But still, I managed to reach this point again. My PC runs an Intel Core i7 CPU, Geforce GTX 980 GPU, and 16gb RAM. I will post my load order and Mods in the thread shortly. I have to figure out how to do a spoiler thingy so it doesn't roll out the entire list.

Cindygirl
Your load order is like a train wreck. Move Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp after Dragonborn.esm. I see you have a ESL plugin make sure to move that after any ESM (Sometimes you will have plugins that is flagged as a ESL do the same). Bug fixes should always go up to the top after the ESL. Big mods and overhauls should be next, like 3DNPC.esp, SMIM-SE-Merged-All.esp, Skyrim Better Roads - All In One - Merged.esp, Book Covers Skyrim.esp. Immersive Citizens, Next is Quest mods, If you have any installed, doesn't matter big or small still goes after the big mods. Always move XPMSE.esp to the very bottom in your load order. Any animation after that will try to overwrite it. (Well almost). Any mod that has the patches you installed needs to load after the mod it tries to patch, SSEedit will tell you the same thing. Weather Overhauls then Enviromental, grass mods water mods ect. After that is Mods that alter cities, example JK skyrim. Mods that add expansions to that city Opencities can go there (Mostly crashes me lol) Look in the description of that mod carefully to avoid crashes with opencites is after that. Gameplay Changes, Combat magic overhaul ect ect. I personally put UI mods next Skyui , ihud. You could do the NPC Overhauls next, I mostly put mine where the big mods are located after bug fixes. Then any sound mod you have should go next and together example: Audio Overhaul. Next is Mods that edit NPC Inventory, Rich Merchants ect. Then CBBE OR UNP. Since you don't have bodlyslide it would say RacemenumorphsCBBE or RacemenumorphsUnnp, mostly want to load racemenu plugin there after that. Weapons amour and clothes mods is next. The rest of the load order should be specific mods that really need to load last, example: xpmse Alternate start, mods that remove game effects for performance. Guest deleted80903
This CTD guide may help you: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34268 I'm going to poke around in your load order for a bit to see if I can get some specific ideas. OK, so Cindygirl has some good ideas; your load order is horrific, no offense! Do you use a load order sorting tool like LOOT? YOU SHOULD. A ton of CTD , freezes, and general instability issues can be linked to unsorted or improperly sorted load orders. The second thing; I see FNIS in your load order. Whenever you install an animation mod that requires FNIS, you MUST run the FNIS For Users program tool in your Data\tools directory. All sorts of chaos will abound if you don't. Try this stuff and see if it helps. These are the basics. Edited April 2, 2020 by melvinius
