Character Creator Issue

Hello everyone! Here we go, sorry for my possible bad english... (the highlighted part is the core of the issue, anything else is not that important)

I've been searching through the forums, looking for some guide or mod to help me, but was still confused. So I came here to see if experienced folks could give me a hand!

What I want to do is: I have my character, and I want to change some things on his face. I've been doing this with my last bald character (he was pretty much like one of the presets on the Character Creator), so what I've been doing was to create a new char, with the same preset, and put some new hair or something, and then do the change of the face with the toolset (the PLAYER_MORPH copy-paste).

But this new char of mine, is quite more complex, and I find hard to recreate his face, just to change the hair, eye color or some scar. So, I'd like you to guide me if there's some way to basically make his face a preset on the character creator. That would make MUCH easier any later change I'd like to make.

Thank you in advance!

Hello again... I was wrong :P

In part at least, because what I did was to create the .mor from a savegame with the Face Replacer, and then change the extension to .mop, but I didn't know that the info this one contains is way lower than .mor's. The result is that the preset has not even half of the head morph from the savegame (only hair, hair color, eye color, n maybe something else).

So what I need is to change the .mor to .mop without losing all that information, which I guess it's possible since there are some head morphs out there. A kind soul to help me? :3

Sorry, Luzbelito. There's no way to change a .mor into a .mop file.

Either kind can be created out of a .mrh file, (which is what the Toolset makes) but as you already discovered there is information needed for a .mop that just isn't present in a .mor.

Well, there is a way to create an entire head, but not by starting from a .mor file. As far as I know, neither BioWare nor many modders have released their .mrh files for others to edit, so you'd have to create your own. As you say, this may be more trouble (for you) than it's worth.

Yeah, I found that you can just make your own head with the toolset, yet I'm not sure if you can put it in the Character Creator without losing any information.

Anyway, what I wanted was to make that Preset face from my already created character, and that's why I say it's not worth it, if it's even possible.

When you've finished using the Toolset to make a face 'just so', you save it as a ".mrh" file. That file can be opened again with the Toolset and modified some more.

But you can also EXPORT a face from the Toolset to EITHER a ".mop" or ".mor" file. Each of those contains less info than the ".mrh", and were designed to be used for the obvious purposes of either the Character Creator, (in the case of a ".mop") or NPCs, (in the case of a ".mor").
