How do I fix this stupid LOD glitch?

I've pretty much encountered this in every modded playthrough at least once.

 

 

 

 

 

Agh, makes me want to vomit. This is right after I fast traveled to White Run. Reloading (F9) doesn't do anything but quitting the game and reloading does.

 

The worst part is, is that it doesn't happen often enough for me to efficiently recreate. I've googled this twice now and I can't seem to find any causes of this, ways to prevent it to happen, etc.

I'm not familiar with a lot of these mods, but I'm seeing A LOT of LOD and landscape altering mods in your load order. They may not all be playing nicely together.

 

One file there that is causing the warning bells to ring in my mind is the Landscape Overhaul for Grass mods. I've tried several top-notch grass mods in my various builds and I've never even heard of needing something like this. Depending on what it does, it may be unnecessary or even harmful. I'd start by scrutinizing that particular mod.

 

A last thought that may or may not help you out. The mod "Curse of Akavir Phoe" -- a massive new lands mod -- caused this same display issue in my main Skyrim overworld. I have no idea why or how this could happen, but removing that mod fixed it for me. I don't see that mod in your list, but if you have any new lands mods by rookie modders, check them too.
