Constant CTDs and freezing with around 150 mods installed

Hi--

 

I've got about 150 mods installed on Skyrim and have for days now been putting up with constant CTDs and crashes. It's gotten to the point that I cross my fingers every time I load a new worldspace. I'm completely at a loss to identify the problem, though I'm quite sure this is an issue with the mods I have installed and not the game itself.

 

I have tried using BOSS and Wrye Bash, but my knowledge concerning such tools (and indeed, modding in general) is VERY limited and I don't think I've made any progress. Literally hours of Googling has produced no solution I can make sense of. I thought I was getting the hang of Wrye Bash, and then it told me that none of my mods could be merged and I couldn't find any answers to that problem.

 

Here is my load list, copied from BOSS. I left the annotations in, in case that helps. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

The problem is that you seem to carelessly download and install mods without reading their descriptions. You should have made sure that ALL 150 mods are compatible with your game before you install them.

 

HearthFires.esm Active

And the bashed patch should be on the bottom of your list

Another thing you can do is learn to use either Wyre Bash properly or learn to use TES5EDIT. I perfer TES5EDIT. There is a good tutorial made by the glorious Gopher at this link -

 

Also figure out what mods make you OMG this is great and dump the others. It will be more managable plus you can make sure they are compatiable with the ones you choose. Good Luck!
