Radiant AI and Realism Mods

Hello everyone, first time on this board, so if im off topic here sorry, dont know my way around...

Anyhow, I have been playing Morrowind for a very long time, and having it on PC was amazing for sure, ive been trying different mods out and a good number of them seem to break the game for me...

What im looking for to make the game feel more complete are mods that add a better sense of life and realism to the game, I tried MCA Morrowind Comes Alive, and it seemed like a good concept, but the problem I had with it was the reckless abandon on new content, there was a swarm of new items and things I had never seen before, and the leveling on the random characters was, to say the least, extreme... I would see common thugs in towns with high power gear, glass, ebony, deadric, and so on, and that just doesnt make sense to me...

The ideal situation in my mind is to have the basic concept of MCA, with random characters in stores, traveling merchants in towns and on the roads, random little quests and goodies, but to keep it traditional, no new content that I didnt specifically install myself, so no new weapons, armor, and so on that would break the experience. The names of all added characters should be generic, no special names for anyone, that way I can tell the difference between who is supposed to be in the game, and who is just the mod, that way if I go nuts and start killing people I wont mess up anything of consequence... xD

And finally, common thugs, bandits, and what ever else you may encounter should only have common equipment, at the most I would expect a bandit leader or a warlord to have higher power stuff, like dwarven, orcish, and all the other more powerful middle grade equipment, while stuff like glass ebony, deadric, and all the other exotic upper level stuff should be added in once in a blue moon, or as a 'small' reward for a very 'big' quest...

The idea is to have realism in equipment so you cant just go out and kill a random person and end up with 20k worth of stuff, that makes the whole concept of role playing fly out the window for me...

These are the kind of mods im looking for, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it...

I also like mods where you need to eat drink and sleep or you have stats penalties, that kind of stuff is always great.

Oh, and I use Morrowind script extender if that is required for any mods of this kind, thanks again, thanks in advance... ^_^

Sounds like what you need is "Starfires NPC Additions" it's a lot like MCA, based on iirc, but Starfire wanted NPC's to blend in with MW more so they all wear default clothing. There's a few additions to it as well that add things like baskets loaded with groceries, brooms and books to some of the NPC's hands. Not sure where to get it atm though. However iirc, Starfire meant for their mod to be used in conjunction with MCA, so they didn't add any NPC's to buildings to keep things from getting too crowded. You could couple it with LCV (Living Cities of Vaardenfall) which will make the vanilla NPC's conform to a schedule, that includes hanging out in stores and taverns throughout part of the day (it can be a bit confusing for new players though).

Thanks for the heads up.

Something im wondering, can you nitpick MCA? Like choose what portions you want from it and not use the rest of it? I was just looking over the new update changes to it and it talking about modifying this or that creature that was added to the game by so n so, and some of the items that were added and how they are being modified, that stuff kind of scares me away...

If I could get MCA in little packets and go through it and handpick exactly what I wanted that would be great...

If you know of anything like that let me know, thanks in advance... ^_^
