Nexus mod manager is not set up to work with fallout new vegas

So I installed Fallout new vegas ultimate edition and when I try to download a mod with mod manager I get this message:

 

"Nexus mod manager is not set up to work with fallout new vegas. If fallout new vegas is installed, rescan for new games from the change game toolbar item."

 

It didn't work.

 

Any help would be appreciated

Thats really odd since new vegas ultimate was the last game to be added to my manager library. Did you scan the games with the manager so that it says it found the game?

Yeah it says that it found the game and it loads the screen that shows the mods and pluggins, but when I try to download a mod it comes up with that warning

Haha okay. I must be stupid or something. I downloaded and installed FOMM, and now whenever I try to download a mod it comes up with a box that says "FOMM is already running" and wont let me install. I'm new to using mods so I must be doing something wrong

Encountered same issue. Downloading manually does NOT solve the problem of the NMM not functioning in this instance!

 

**UPDATE** ...awaiting download connection to function.
