Skyrim SE stutters even in the loading screen

Hello again! Skyrim SE has almost defeated me. It just doesn't seem to work for me. A few days ago, I made a post about how installing too many mods caused unbelievable stuttering and lag. The fix was deleting the mod folder created by vortex. After that I thought maybe the problem was solved and I reinstalled some of the mods about 30 in total. Well, to my surprise the game started stuttering again. This time however, deleting the mod folder did not fix the problem. I decided to uninstall skyrim and reinstall, even with everything fresh and no mods the lag and stutter was still there. I then decided to uninstall and reinstall vortex and that actually worked. This time I was able to install 43 mods and the game did not stutter. I was very happy and decided that I will not install anymore mods. BUT MY STUPID BUTT decided to install more mods and well I got what I deserved, the freaking stutter and lag was back. And now nothing seems to fix it. What confuses me is why is there stutter and lag even in the loading screen.

I'm really sorry for such a long post. But if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this game, I will be very grateful.

Thank you.

Are you modding for the first time? In Bethesda games, LOAD ORDER is really important. It can make the difference between constant crashes and stutter and smooth gameplay.

If you haven't already, get LOOT and sort your load order.

Also... I personally would avoid Vortex. I use a standalone install of Mod Organizer 2. My reasoning for this is that Vortex, being a nexusmods product designed for 100s of games (I think) is going to have a constant stream of updates which could break otherwise functional game installs.

I do a standalone install of Mod Organizer 2 for each game I use it with. Gives me more control.

I'll try using MO2. But, the thing is that lag and stutter is still there even when no mods are loaded.

I was going to use mo2 but the game lags and stutters even without mods. I'm going to uninstall the game for good.

Thank you melvinius for trying to help.

Something else must be going on here then. Look up "Can I run it?" in google, this should bring you to systemrequirementslab.com or something like that.

Plug in the game name (Skyrim SE) and run the tool to see if your PC can handle it. The tool will flag any problem areas it detects.

I think Steam gives refunds if you bought the game from them recently.

But this really is a great game, definitely worth the time to get it working right if your computer can do it.

I ran Can I Run It and according to it my pc meets the minimum requirements. The obsolete factor is my gtx 750 ti 2gb. I need at least 3 gb according to it.

The thing is even if I change the resolution to 720p it still stutters. And witcher 3 on 900p med setting runs fine with 40+ fps.

And I agree, it is an amazing game. I love it that's why it's so frustrating that it isn't working.

Thank you so much. I will look for solutions and hopefully I will get it to work. Again, thank you.

Thank you so so so very much. I installed MO2 and the stutter was gone. I cannot thank you enough because I would have never thought of installing organizer because my game was not working even when I uninstalled vortex and all the mods, so even if my game was vanilla and absolutely not modded it would still stutter. But because you suggested installing mo2 the game works. I was very close to saying goodbye to skyrim forever.

I really really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Great! I'm glad you found a solution! Have fun!

If you have any more problems, try installing SSE Engine Fixes and SSE Fixes; these can greatly improve your experience further.
