beastyboy358
Hi, As you know you can move a NPC to your location with the player.placeatme <player objectid> command. Is it normal that when you enter this command more than once, you get the specific NPC more than once next to you? I entered the command a couple of times and every time a new instance of Lydia appeared next to me. Now I have about 10 Lydia's...And if its normal, how can I remove all the duplicates? I only want 1 Lydia.(btw.. it also works on other NPC's).
kezardinjnr
The player.placeatme command creates another instance of the original, every time you use it, it doesn't move the original NPC. Don't use it for named characters - use the comands prid RefID moveto player to avoid this problem. You can try using the kill command - console commands are listed here Edited December 12, 2012 by kezardinjnr
beastyboy358
Thnx.. I had to make the NPC non-essential to kill them all but one. It appears I killed the original too, because I got a letter from the Jarl informing me Lydia is dead. So I have 1 copy of Lydia left. But I'm not sure if there are more. I tried the moveto command and refid command to check it but I got parse errors. Now, when I type Help Lydia, I get her ID which is 000A2C8E. I assume I have to use this id in the player.moveto command, but for some reason it doesn't work. Can someone give me the right command?

AnimeOtaku102
Rather than using kill on the clone, you probably should have used disable.
