TheCowGoesMoo
I'm at my wit's end. I've been hung up stuck home alone bored for weeks, and I finally got my mom to send me my Fallout 3 GotY edition, hoping to stave off my boredom. APPARENTLY my OS decided NOPE, NO FUN IN THE WASTELAND FOR YOU. I've tried everything I've found on the internet. I've given it administrator privileges, run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP service packs 2, 3, and Windows Vista, I've disabled Aero, given it a d3d9.dll file, edited out the intro video in the .ini and data files, and still nothing! I'm getting seriously beyond frustrated with this. I just wanna be a lone wanderer again, is that so much to ask? I've grown so bored of Tamriel. (Incidentally, Oblivion and Morrowind both work spectacularly well on my computer, better than I've ever had them run before, but apparently Fallout just wants to be a big, difficult baby) I figure this is probably a hopeless effort at this point, but I thought I'd give it a try to see if anyone could help a poor, Fallout-less soul. I know you've dealt with this in the past. (Also, I'm without internet at the moment, so unfortunately any help you might have may not be able to be received, tested, or responded to for several days. But don't let that stop you from helping! You might be the last, best hope for me!)

bben46
Works fine for me and thousands of other Win7 x64 users. NOT using any compatibility mode. Aero is on, nothing but the DVD used to play (until I started adding mods)You need to find another reason for FO3 failing to work.
