Stucifer Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 I've been following several of the mod threads here and incorporated a lot of changes into my game. One thing that I am trying to add is the suppression ability to Sectoids. I've removed Mind Merge for now (testing something, also I hate how long their turns take when I have 12 on the screen from Impossible), but I want to add something additional for them to do that will keep them challenging. I've played around with the item properties on SectoidPlasmaPistol; however, it already has the Suppress ability, so I tweaked the iSuppression to 100. Thought maybe it was the chance it'd be used or something...but no dice.None of the Character abilities seem to have suppression, either. Any ideas? FlyingHigh10000000 Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Not sure if they do it on Normal and below. They definitely suppress sometimes on Classic and Impossible. Aliens seem to prefer taking a shot to suppressing, most of the time, though. As for the iSuppression value, last I heard, that was thought to be how much it lowers the soldier's aim by when they're suppressed by that weapon, so 100 might be a bit overboard. :P Edited December 15, 2012 by FlyingHigh10000000 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I usually play on higher difficulty but I couldn't recall ever seeing them use suppressing fire in my full playthrough, and now I mostly dink around in the first couple of months seeing if the changes I make work, hah :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
