“Why did I say that?”. Alexis said to the empty room. It had been 5 hours since wildfire left. “ I should go and look for him”. she gathered her armor and grabbed her hammer.. She was about to leave her room when she noticed a sudden small rise in the temperature. “ Oh no he’s here. What should I say? What CAN I say?”

 

“can I come in?” a voice asked.

 

“Yes” she answered. Wildfire came into the room carrying a long, small crate.

 

“look I’m sorry that I said that” she started. “and I-”.

 

“no, your right.” He stopped her. “I should have been there. This is for you.” He placed the crate on a table and Alexis saw that there was a lock on it. The lock had no hole for a key.

 

“How do you open it?” she asked.

 

“Use your power.” was her answer. She grabbed the lock and focused. Her hand started to glow and the lock heated up. Just then she thought it would melt she herd a click and it unlocked. Inside was a beautiful katana. There were red tribal marking in it’s black blade. “the blade is obsidian. The marking are melted rubies“.

 

“This…is mine?” she said stunned.

 

“ It’s called ‘sinner’ shade is holding on to your other one.” When he said this she almost dropped the blade.

 

“Other one?”. "

 

Shade and I decided that if we ever had a son or daughter we would give them our first swords when the time was right. I’m sorry it was late.” Wildfire smiled when he saw her eyes light up. “Now all we need is a place to try it out. I rented the arena for a hour. Let’s go.” When Alexis herd this she put her hammer on her back, attached sinner to her belt and almost ripped Wildfire’s arm out pulling him towards the door.

 

5 minutes later…

 

Wildfire stood across from Alexis. “ Let’s use only one weapon.”

 

“Ok catch!” she threw her hammer at him. Even although he caught the hammer he was knocked back by the force the threw it with, the weigh didn’t help either.

 

“Jezz Alexis how much does this weigh?!” When he first saw it he guessed it weighed around 75 pounds.

 

He was wrong. “I don’t know the exact weight but a smith told me it’s around 280 pounds.”

 

Wildfire was stunned.” she really is my daughter…this should be good.” Alexis drew sinner out of it’s sheath and took an offensive stance. Wildfire reached by his left shoulder and drew his combat knife.

 

”Um...are you sure you can fight me with that toothpick?” she said almost laughing her head off.

 

“just get ready”

 

“You may begin” the announcer said over the cheering. The gates dropped and alexis damn near disappeared. Wildfire’s inhuman eyes could track her but, to everyone she was invisible. “she’s a lot faster without that hammer.” he barley finished thinking when she reappeared behind him. He managed to dodge but he felt the wind the blade created.

 

“ wow. Normally that’s all it takes for a kill” she said….and disappeared again. Wildfire just smiled.

 

“you haven’t seen anything yet..” and with that HE disappeared. The arena was filled with the sound of metal hitting metal. It was like a lightshow. Sparks and flashed lit up the night. This went on for a long time. Finaly the two reappeared . Wildfire was drenched in sweat. His cheek was cut and blood was running down his neck. Alexis had a nice sized cut on her left arm. Nether noticed the black haired beauty watching from the VIP room of the arena…..
