javicatchall
Hi everyone! I just watched this review of Skyrim Together and I really liked it But mostly, this suggest an even better mod: the possibility of starting ONE game with up to FIVE (or eight) characters at the same time. I elaborate:I launch Skyrim, press New GameThe game starts with Live Another Life or Realm of Lorkham, butI fill in and customise FIVE different characters (one after another): let's say one Breton, one Redguard, one Orc, one Imperial, and one ArgonianEach of those characters start in different locations and with different backstoriesThen the game asks to choose what character to play with: let's say I start with the Redguard in Helgen (vanilla start)Eventually, I go to the mod configuration tab and select SWITCH character: I now choose start with the Breton in the College of WinterholdBut, by the time the Breton is in the College of Winterhold, the events of Helgen have already taken place in that playthrough. My Redguard character lived that. The Breton nor the others cannot live that in this playthroughIf one character joins the College of Winterhold, only one character can become archmage, not allIf one character becomes the champion of Malacath, the quest will not be available for the othersIf one character finishes the civil war questline, the civil war quests are failed for the othersIf a player home is claimed by one character, the others can enter (and loot it) but not own itAnd so on Things to consider:When one character is chosen to be the playable one, the others can automatically become NPCs resting at their houses or following routines like training, walking, hunting, etc., until they are switched to againIf one character (playable) engages in a fight with another (non-playable), they will become hostile to each other unless selected otherwise in the mod configuration tabThis way we can play Skyrim and make it feel like a huge place where one single character is not always the bigger fish and other characters have also a lot of influence in the game. The mod Skyrim Together has already advanced a lot in making possible that the actions of one character have an impacts on other characters in the same playthrough. Let me know if you'd like that mod!
