onyko
This thing really looks great. Are you planning on doing any other weapons after this one? Yes, plan to do a whole line of weapons that use the same ammo (ionCell) that this rifle uses. After i can successfully make this mod, i'm planning to do:- SMG variant - Assult Rifle variant- Hangun Variant  All depends when i have the time to do it. dra6o0n
Is it possible to reuse some of the Ion Rifle's model, make a Rail Gun and apply the same energy weapon stats in, but with a large beam attack and also counts as a big gun?
SpeedyB64
Looks good. It is beautifully beat up :) .
Jared2500
I see, forgive me for being too lazy to check out the original. I like how you're having a beat up look, but there's something about the texture and model I don't like. I think it looks a little toyish. The new model has a better shape to it, so I'm looking forward to the texture. Also, maybe if it had a little more variety or detail on the texture. The resolution is high enough, but I just can't pinpoint what I'm trying to say :(

The problem with maya i'm having that it doesn't render like a game engine. so it does look better in realtime than it does rendered. Hopefully i can mimic that look. when i use DirectX previews, it looks better. but it doesn't render that way.
jsnider193
The model looks fine to me ... if they had stasis fields to store things in as the game showed why does everything have to be dinged and scarred? For the newer tech just say experimental and store it somewhere ... like an army base or depot.

From what I've seen, this reminds me a little of Battlefield 2142. I like what you're doing here, but maybe if you added a few little widgets to it, it would look a little less like a toy. Of course, this could just be me being picky, and you can completely disregard this if you want. Here's a reference of the morretti sr4 from 2142. Notice all the little 'indentions' and details carved into the gun and barrel. The scope, stock, and grips also have a good look to them. Like I said, this is just a suggestion, but if you added some things like these to your weapon, it would give it a more detailed, interesting look. By the way, I like how your new model appears to have a slimmer look; I can tell you're putting more effort into it this time. Keep up the good work man, I'll be watching this one. But there maybe a MKII version coming after I complete this mod. Just need to get used to modding Fallout 3 at the moment ;) . Now i have to do the harder part, getting this into nifskope and animating it.
