empec
Couple of months ago I saw Skyrim being played on a PS3 if I can remember correctly (I'm not so into consoles). I knew already what kind of game it was but never really paid attention to it since I was a hardcore D&D pen & paper figure. I did play Neverwinter Nights on a hardcore roll play server with the original D&D 3.5 rules. So my adventure spirit has always been there. Anyway, I started to play Skyrim out of curiosity. Now I'm stuck searching and combining mods that makes my Skyrim game as realistic as possible. The mods I've combined so far are the following; Climates of Tamriel for weather.Minty Lightning to add lightning to the weather provided by CoT.Economics of Skyrim to modify... well look for yourself; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11919Frostfall by Chesko to modify body temperature when walking in the cold windy climates of the continent Tamriel can provide.Total Realism - Basic Needs to add a nutrition system. I did not add Imps more complex needs because the owner stopped updating this mod I read somewhere and Darwins Nightsmare because... I'm not sure. Total Realism - Water Patch.SkyTEST - Realistic Animal & Predators to make wild life more realistic.Darker Caves Dungeons Ruins Nights to darken my nights or holes I crawled into. The reason why I did not add Realistic Lighting is because this mod provides good torch lighting which I could not get with Realistic Lighting, even when trying to modify it.Duel - Combat Realism for the more realistic fighting systemKuertee Fight or Fly because some creatures in Skyrim are just pussies and rather give up than dying an honorable death.WATER to add more realistic waterEnhancedLightsandFX, not sure if this one has any effect, after three weeks of trying, reading, crashing, reinstalling (Linux; Ubuntu) and whatever more I became tired and just left it in there.SMDropLitTorch to drop my light source on the ground while grabbing for my bow and arrow.SabreFurBag to make myself a nice backpack out of a few foxes I just skinned near my camp.lt_camping to add camping equipment used to either warm up from my northern adventures or to just make a place more like 'home'.Interactive Skyrim to actually make the animation of warming my hands over the fire made with the lt_camping.Skyrim Compass Tuner and turned off almost everything (incl healthbars ect) on my compass and map except the compass itself (Which I might delete enttirely as well in the near future). And as final I set my difficulty level in-game to Master, if this one has any effect because I am using Duel - Combat Realism. If anyone has nice tips to improve my Skyrim ala realism, feel free to reply. I do not have a monster PC so I could not add high texture packs, sadly. All mods were downloaded from www.Nexusmods.com. Few weeks ago I had a character level 13, and deleted it to make a fresh start with all the mods. Which I have now, level 8 Wood Elf, ready to survive the cold, rainy and windy nights of wild Skyrim. [update 1] Frostfall settings are hardcore with an Exposure rate of 2.0 (double than normal) and in-game Skyrim set timescale to 5 (20 is default). Also I see that I have no interior mods working the "Darker Caves Dungeons Ruins Nights" mod is overwritten by CoT after some time. I can probably fix this with Realistic Lighting (I was not happy enough with the CoT settngs for enteriors, nights and dungeons; not dark enough, because I could still see almost everything) [update 2]Changed from CoT, Darker Caves Dungeons Ruins Nights & EnhancedLightsandFX to RCRN (Real Colors Real Nights; http://www.rcrncommunity.com). ~ Empec, Wood Elf p.s. I will add Cloaks of Skyrim soon.\ Edited December 16, 2012 by empec
