Kabolte
Basically, it's a hunting rifle with a modification on it, meant for a new schematic type thing. Right now, I'm just trying to replace the hunting rifle model to get it ready for when GECK comes out.(not that I have any experience modding oblivion either...) But when I get in game, I get thisI put huntingrifle.nif in Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\meshes\weapons\2handrifle I also might be doing something wrong as far as the modeling goes too. I just imported the model into blender and added what I wanted onto it. I don't know if there are any special tricks or settings as far as importing and exporting it goesPerhaps that error could be a texture thing, because I have no texture for the part I added. I don't know how to do that.So pretty much, new to all things modding  So can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
jaysus
fallout doesnt find your model... easy as that... you cant just use a blender file... try reading the stickies in the oblivion modding subforum aswell as those in here in the fallout forum... getting a gun into fallout is actually kinda stressful still and there aint no 100% working way yet... even my tutorial asks for alot from the reader thus you should really start out with some oblivion tutorials and make a file which would be compatible with this, then read my tutorial and try that to get it into fallout
SpeedyB64
You said that you put in a nif file. Was that nif file formatted correctly? How did you export it?
Kabolte
HmmWell, guess that's where I should start. Time to reinstall Oblivion
