boxjellyfish14
I bought Skyrim on steam and downloaded NNM and three simple mods with the manager. They all seem in place and in the Skyrim launcher I can see all three mods selected (but there are no X signs next to them) however the mods are still not working in the game. Anyone has any clues what might be wrong? I thought I had to subscribe to these items on Skyrim Workshop but I dont think thats it cuz these mods doesnt even exist there. Safiyahalishah
I have this problem too, and I've checked in the Skyrim folders and the mod files are supposedly there, but they make no difference whatsoever to the game when I play it. I have My Home Is Your Home and Amazing Follower Tweaks downloaded and activated but they just don't make the slightest difference to the game... What should we do? This is terrible! bben46
If there is no x in the box, the mod is NOT active.Did you click on the mod to activate them? When you do, an x appears in the box to show they are active.Try clocking on the text instead of the box. Here is a video tutorial for New users of NMMhttp://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/NMM_Video_Tutorials

I watched the tutorial and, while it was helpful, it just confirmed that I was doing everything right. I'm not sure what I should do, but I'm beginning to give up the idea of modding now XD. bben46
Look in the Skyrim>Data Files Greyed out in my blog site. This is referring to the data section in the game and not the mods in NMMWhen you start the game - there should be a DATA in the main game menu - if it is greyed out then the game is set to NOT recognize any mods.http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#new
Plitz3
i am having trouble with Skyrim/Dawnguard and the mods. For about 2 months or so Skyrim/Dawnguard and my mods that i have for it stopped working. i have tried everything that i could think of and even emailed the people at "Steam" for help but their advice and helpfull tips did not help any. in the NMM the "Skyrim.esm" is greyed out and i do not know how to make it ungreyed. i tried uninstalling the game twice and i even turned off all of my mods but nothing has helped/worked. Even the "Dawnguard.esm" aint working. PLZ HELP!!!
MShoap13
Skyrim.esm is supposed to be greyed out. When you launch the game's normal launcher, is the line that says "Data Files" white and clickable, or greyed out and unclickable? If it's unclickable, go to the link Bben posted, and find the blog post he's talking about; one of your .ini settings is telling the game to ignore plugins and there's instructions on how to fix it there. And now Data Files is perfectly white and clickable, my two mods activated and all that, but when I play the game there's still no change. Are my files corrupt or something?
