Help with cooking mods needed

Hello there,

could someone provide me a step by step guide or tell me where i can find manuals or tutorials how to make a mod? I'm new to modding and i think i don't understand how cooking/uncooking a game or someone else's mod works at all. For example i want to have blood on Geralt effect from Brutal Blood 2.0 in Brutal Blood 4.0 (it was deleted in latest version). I know i must place the fx\blood\standard_hit\character_covered_blood.w2p file from 2.0 version in Brutal Blood 4.0 and cook it. I installed Modkit and w3oven. But when i uncook the mod, there is only one folder called 'ulug_texture'. So i thought that maybe w3oven doesnt uncook bundle files or something. After a little googling i found about quickbms and w3editor. Quickbms really unpacks bundle files and there is this 'fx' folder with the file i was looking for. in w3edit i can also change its contents. But i cannot reimport this file using quickbms because there is a size error when adding content. and after installing quickbms and w3edit my w3oven has started acting strangely without me doing anything to it. As i mentioned when trying to unpack Brutal Blood 4.0 there was only 'ulug_textures' folder. Now w3oven is probably trying to extract bundle file too but i get a lot of errors - File corruption, header crc mismatch in... - and a path to a w2mesh file. So instead of 5 folders which i get with quickbms, there are only 3 after uncooking using w3oven and there is no 'ulug_texture' folder anymore as well. I am confused as hell and do not know what to do. Could any experienced modder help me or let me know where i can find some help about this all uncooking/cooking stuff? Any aid will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance and sorry for possible language mistakes since i am not a native English speaker.

Edit: Nevermind. I've learned how to make mods.
