AdmGuimaraes
Hello there. I'm looking for a list with some mods that is incompatible each other. And that is incompatible with previous version of the last update of the game. I've downloaded too much mod, and now I'm afraid to install everything and crash my game. Thats happens to me all the time in Minecraft. :/ Can anybody help?

bben46
Short answer - there are too many mods to check them all for compatibility with each other. Long answer: Prepare to have your brain boggled. :blink:We currently have over 20,000 mods for Skyrim alone. Most will work fine if they are the only mod being used. Many require something else to work. Some do the same thing as others in a slightly different way. Most simple mods (texture replacers and such) will work with most other mods - unless another mod - either simple or complex changes the same texture. Then we have the mods that make many changes to many things - they will have problems with more than one mod. But work fine as long as no other mod is changing the same things. Many times, the built in system allows these to work, the last mod loaded controls. However if a mod makes changes that are dependent on other changes in the same mod, then another mod is loaded after that makes changes in some of the things, but not others - the last loaded doesn't work out. That doesn't mean there mod is broken, it just means it cannot work as is - maybe, and maybe not reversing the load order will allow them to work. But then possibly a third mod will now cause a problem. :pinch: As you see - there is no practical way to decide what mod will work with the near infinite number of possible combinations of mods. If you want to pursue it, here is a mathematical formula for this kind of permutation. (Reference Link: http://www.omegamath.../Data/d2.2.html) P(n,r)=n!/(n-r)!Where n=number of available mods (In this case rounded to 20,000 for simplicity  in reality this number changes daily. and r=number of possible mods in a game (0, 1, 2, 3 etc up to 255) - 255 being the max allowed number of mods in a game. This gives the number of possible combinations based on r being constant. that is a specific number of mods being used. Then you run this 255 times changing r each time, and add up the totals. :psyduck: Now do you understand why some mods just don't play well with every other mod? Edit: Please feel free to correct my math if you think it is wrong. 8)
