Cant get mods to work

Hi

i have been trying to use the respec mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3016?tab=description) since i dont like the fact that the game FORCES you to have an ability at the start, and the bash locks (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/2398) mod so i can get into locked chests without having to have a rogue specced for lockpicking in my party at all times.

but even after using nexus vortex to install they still dont work. and im wondering if it is because the mods are to old or if there is a fix for it.

i managed to get my mods to work by not using vortex, using manually downloaded files extracted to the addins folder in the game directory, not via documents.
