SpeedyB64
I have been modeling for Oblivion and Fallout 3 and can make nice meshes but I can not make armor and clothing. Is there a tutorial on how to take a mesh and rig, export and get it into the game? SplitSoul and I are working on a helmet and I need to know how to get it into the game

SpeedyB64
Thanks. :thanks: you should add the rigging step to the tutorial I have never found a tutorial that directly tells you how to do it.
jaysus
nono ;) that really deserves an own tut... but i got hold of it just by reading the help file of max and you can do too i bet... but to make it short... use a skin modfier... [all in the modifier toolbox:]click add... select the bones you need for that model... done or if youre unhappy with the auto weighting do that now:click on edit envelopes... click on the screwdriver or whatever that is... select a bone in that box where you added em... (optional click on vertix, activate select by element) and select an element or a bunch of vertices in the main window... in the screwdriver toolbox click on a number... 1 would be full reaction, .5 half and so on... but theres is lots more about it if you intend to be a perfectionist export without collapsing the mesh
