demonman562
Well... I would expect so... as the houses are poking out from the glacier they will need interiors! hehehe.

armageddon818
GASP! Umm i dont even know where it is that even looks like that though... like what part of the island is that anyway? If it makes sense to do this, just flatten it all out or something.
XanAlderon
Still the frostbite idea is good, until you have bought (some sort of) Cold-protective suit, you will have to only take short trips from the city. If you don't get back in time, you start losing health and eventually stats. This puts a desperate feel to the mod if you go to far from the city you may lose the way back and die (Except the compass and map mean his is impossible)Â The mists and snowstorms make getting lost is really easily. armageddon818
yeah they really do actually... although if you have seen the overview of the island... its pretty centric and would be VERY hard to get lost in. Especially since the only real wilderness is on top of the island. Simple solution to not getting lost in there...drop down to a ledge in one of the districts. I like the frostbite idea, and there is a mod for it, but really, the storyline needs to be upkept, and some of these ideas are just not related whatsoever. Not to mention the insides of the houses are going to be just as cold as the outside, if not colder seeing as...they are made out of ice too! i dont think that the player is going to find much relief, maybe they just need to wear fur armor or something if we want to be logical, that's what they would have used. now, this is a major city with 5 districts, there are people living in these districts who cant just be sitting around doing nothing. If you want to make up some district types (obv. market is one of them) (and no "entertainment" please, that sounds frivolous) and then come up with some quests that are going on in there. There will be plenty of things to do for the player in the end, but first let's build the damn thing and then we can play around with it as much as we want. As for you, Xanalderson, your part is going to come when jack is done with the texturing of the land....which means including the textures for the forests on top of the cty. then ales needs to retexture a bunch of trees for you to add. Once that is ALL done. the .esp file will be updated and redistributed, and you'll be up at the plate. Just a tip for whe you are placing... make the land bumpy...(its all flat right now) add some jerall rocks etc. just make it look natural. And there are going to be a few huts/igloos perhaps up there, so leave a little room for some isolated homes up there on top. thanks!
armageddon818
If the city is going to have five disctricts then it must be huuuuuge. Thats fine all the way then. Will we be using any normal interiors for some of the houses in any of the districts??? NO, we will specifically not be using any of the other interiors because this is not supposed to be the imperial city...besides, we have EVERY piece of aylied interior architecture textured as ice already. I dont know about you, but i wouldnt want to go through 250-300 meshes, retexture and add them into an esp. THANK YOU ALBINO PENGUIN for sparing me that tedious task. so you get to be even more creative with the interiors because you have an entire set to work with!! And yes, there will probably be around 10-12 ish houses/shops in each district so thats a lot of interiors! (especially when you think about the palace too) Umm... maybe in some places the houses will go all the way through into the other districts,if it would make your life easier then we could do that as well, like a front door- back door kind of thing. I'm taking care of the mountain interior worldspace for the palace. I think you will all be pleasantly surprised!
XanAlderon
In the meantime I'll start making up quests. The Inhabitants of (residential district) are getting annoyed at the slipperiness of the ice and need an answer to their problem.Talk to (someone) at (somewhere) to learn what is needed. (someone) tells you the people can't get a grip on the ice and keep sliding around and falling over, they are getting fed up with this. He says that a shoemaker somewhere can probably be persuaded to make shoes with traction on them, and directs you too the (????) district. Asking around your eventually directed to the shoemaker, who tells you he can make the shoes but needs lots of some sort of spike for them to work. He says Icicles will probably suffice and tells you that you can find them in any cave. Go to a cave and look around eventually you will find icicles (Garridians tears mesh?) and bring them back to the shoemaker. He takes the icicles and (20 gold?) and makes you a pair of shoes with spikes on the bottom. He says if you bring him any 5 icicles he will make another pair of boots. Then go find a resident and you can sell them the boots for (30 gold?) and make a profit. Now if you find any icicles on your journeys you can give them to the shoemaker with some money and he will make you some boots, then sell them for profit to a resident. XanAlderon
The only problem is this quest is based on the fact that the iciness of the land has been a recent thing and so the people aren't yet adapted.
demonman562
ok, you know the big trench bits you made? it's there... on all of them :( ok we need to flatten out those really deep bits.
