Anyone interested in this? Removing some or all of the enchants on armors?

I think I have a pretty good idea on how to do this, I've been messing around with FOMM for awhile now, fooling with items on my own personal game.

Anyway, post here if you want to see this happen. Let me know how far you want to go in removing enchants.

(I don't think there is a mod for this yet, yet I saw a couple of folks bring it up...)

also, check this thread out if youre a modder :P

So long as one leaves power armor's STR/Carryweight bonuses alone, I don't think its a bad idea!

i personally thought the enchants added quite a bit to the game, creating a variety of benefits from clothing in different situations. i think there should be lots more of them.

i've added many enchants to my armor/clothing in the game, as a matter of fact... for example the merc cruiser adds a little to my AP now - it's got all those ammo belts to speed things up, right? and a certain ugly mask should surely decrease your charisma, no? i've also added a bit of extra carry capacity in addition to the barter increase on the wasteland barter outfit - lots of pockets. ;) now when i need to carry a little extra and do some trading i dress like a trader. when i go have a chat with some new NPCs i decline to don that ugly mask, etc.

however removing the enchants from the armor in the game is very easy to do. just create a plugin with FOMM and copy and paste all the armors from the base esp file, then remove all the EITM sub records from the armor records. this 'Enchanted ITeM' record points to the ENCH for the armor. remove it and you've got the same ol' fruit of the looms. the other stats, like DR and weight and so forth, will remain unchanged.
