Don't console commands work with mods?

I tried to use some console commands, particularly "SQV"(short for "ShowQuestVars") to look into some mods for Fallout: New Vegas.

If the quest in question was modified by a mod, command shows only variables from original version, not any variables added by the mod.
And if the quest was added in a mod, console doesn't recognize it's ID.

So it looks like console commands don't see content added by mods.

Can someone suggest a solution for this problem?

Are you entering the Quest ID as a "string" (e.g. SQV "01001304") where "01001304" is the mod index of the plugin in the current load order?

 

Are you ensuring that the first two characters are the "mod index" of the "load order" at the time you are attempting the console command? (Meaning "01" in the example is the second plugin in the list.)

 

Otherwise, provide an example please.
