Stanleyjf1985 Posted December 16, 2012 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Hi, I'm trying to create or provide a basic door open and close animation for a custom static mesh I've created in 3ds max. I'm aware of the plugins and the information provided out there for making characters animate, however I would like to make a custom door and put it into skyrim. I'm currently able to place custom meshes in the skyrim world without a hitch using niftools stuffs, however I am wondering if those same tools provide functionality for allowing me to put a moving static into the game world and how I would go about doing that. Thanks a bunch. At the moment I am able to place a object in the world as a door, however its animation won't play when I activate it, it will open and close but it will remain static. I believe there is stuff in the door .nif that tells the game what to do with the animation that I am missing from my .nif, however I am unsure of if what I rig or change will be compatible and would like to know if anyone has done this before.
