Character skin lacks a colour

I downloaded the "Terimer race CM Partner Terise" mod. However, the companion's skin appears white. It's the same thing when I try to create a "Terimer" custom race character : my character also has a white skin. Looking at the images uploaded, it doesn't appear to be normal.

If I put on a top, then the upper body (but not the face, legs, hands) becomes standard pink, but I assume (I know nothing about mods, so I can't be sure) that what I see as "skin" in this case is actually part of the shirt/top/whatever design.

How can I fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Just to add some informations : I'm using the Eye candy nude mod, and the problem I mention doesn't happen with other companions.

would you mind terribly giving the link to where you downloaded? It will help. Sorry to be a pain. It sounds like the skin is supposed to be pink? That's why I need to see the mod. I also need to look at the guts of exactly what you're looking at, as well.

the skin in most EC clothing is mapped to the "footfemale.dds"

I'm not certain about custom races, though, so my reply will also serve as a bump to get more help.

are you using the default exnem replacer, or hgec? Terise needs hgec. also, did you install the hgec files from the extras folder where they belong?

if you did both of those, try updating your archive invalidation, then all should be well.

I was using HGEC and I *assume* I installed all the files where they belonged.

However, I don't know what "updating archive invalidation" means. Could you explain?

Actually, I since completely uninstalled Oblivion and all the mods, and not yet reinstalled Terise mod. I'll let you know if it works better this time. Still, I'd like to know what is this "archive invalidation update" thing.

Note: You must be using OBMM for the instructions below.

Below is an excerpt from my "FCOM Install Guide"

5.2 – Choosing your Archive Invalidation Settings

This directs the game (by exploiting a bug in the game), to have preference over the files in your “…\Oblivion\Data\” folder instead of the files in the core game “.bsa” archive files. Also the method described below prevents your mod files from overwriting your core game “.bsa” archive files, which could cause them to become corrupted. Well at leat I think thats how it works.

Before adding any more mods and running your game you will need to set your method of Archive Invalidation. (This is VERY important that you do this before running your game.)

1. Open OBMM with the shortcut on your Desktop.

2. Left click on the “Utilities” button then choose “Archive invalidation”.

3. Check the box that says “BSA redirection” and click “Update Now” button and exit this window.

a. I believe that this is the default setting as of at least version 1.1.11 of OBMM.

Good luck
