SirStriped Posted April 16, 2020 Share Posted April 16, 2020 After a recent comment on a reddit post I was given an idea. I don't know how possible it is. If it is possible let me know. I did Mod Request because I dont care if someone makes it. But if someone could also point me in the right direction to attempting to make it for myself. I have learned some simple languages and played with the unreal engine. But I wouldn't call myself a coder/programmer by any means.In the reddit post I was informed that the way the game is coded each weapon is coded as its own entity. Even modified weapons are their own entity. So you can't just keep track of "This gun has X Y Z". So my idea was this.1st) Create a new menu called Gun Crafting. 2nd) In this menu there is boxes similar to the car. Basically a Copy of the car menu. With a button for attempt to craft. 3rd) If you press craft and the boxes hold a combination that works it will consume them to craft X weapon. Not all combos need to work since each item needs to be its own entity. 4th) Gives these guns a dismantle function. You can dismantle the gun for the exact parts it took to craft it. Since it's essentially a preset menu 5th) Add blueprints for different craftable parts. 6th) If possible add elemental parts but not as important For models I would think finding some that are useable wouldn't be to hard.
