Hi, I want to start modding

Hi guys/girls, i hope you're doing fine, and first of all, this is my first topic but not my first time here on the forums. Second, I'm from Argentina and my english isn't the best, sorry for that, really. Now that those points have been stated, i'll just explain my situation to you, and hope you can help me :D. In the past few hours, i've been downloading certain trials of certain programs (3DS MAX, Blender, FO3 Archive utility, Creation Kit, etc) just to see if i could handle them. Turns out i can't. I got this idea of a (simple?) mod i would like to make: it's a summonable creature, a golem... yeah, like the flesh golem in Diablo 2 (I like necromancy so much), but i just can't get started. I've been reading tutorials on simple things like importing/exporting from the skyrim folder and other things, but i just can't go any further than having the Frost Troll (cause i'd like to use the troll's animations) in the 3ds max screen, and that's it. I just want to "alter" (is that the correct word?) the troll's body shape and textures to make it more golem-ish like. So, these are my questions:

1- Is it even possible to do that?

2- If so, just HOW? a "short" step by step mini-guide would be fine (i'm not trying to get a fully detailed guide, just a "you need to do this, this, that and that" kind of guide)

3- I've also read some armor/weapons editing tutorials; should I start with simpler things like those?

4- I'm also wondering, where do you get the textures for the creature? you know, like the fleshy and bloody skin and all that; do i have to create them myself using another program?

5- and finally, this is more of a request: if you're thinking "god, how stupid this guy can be?" while you read this, and decide to actually say it, please don't... try to be as nice as possible :(.

And I guess that's it... feel fry to correct my grammar and to tell me that I have no chances with this haha... lol, no :'(

Ok, people, see you all later! and Thanks!

First of all, you should really learn Blender, it's actually very easy, your 8 year old cousin can handle it.
You just need the right tutorial. As for the creating golem part, not very basic, not very hard, in between you might say. I personally proud to have achieved modeling in blender under and hour due to this guy.

He is amazingly thorough with his tutorials on Blender. Even though his tutorials are on how to model a gun, which I didn't need to know that time, the techniques he taught me were super easy and allowed me to create whatever I want :)

As for importing stuff from skyrim, that's another story, WHICH I can help you with, but first you're going to have to learn the basics, sorry :) :P
I hope this post was helpful.

Thank You.
