wulvfen
Here's hoping someone can help me with using different body replacers for different ages. I'm going to install Children of the Wastelands-Enhanced [no alterations here], so I can also install the Shojo race mod, but I don't like the look of a child sized, yet full-breasted body with a young girls face for the Shojo's. I'd like to use the BnB meshes [some jiggle when the females wiggle], combined with Astymma's compatibility skeleton mod [required by another mod] and Kendo's T3 BB Alice-A cup body replacer to alter the look of my Shojo character/companions to fit more closely within their age group for appearances.I've tried this before and was successful in achieving the look I wanted for the Shojo race, but it also altered all the adult females, giving them A-cups, when I desire that they remain the full-breasted females they should be [they are grownups, after all]. So here's what I'm trying to achieve- Children; no change of course, kids are kids Shojo race; A-cup bodies, reflecting a teenagers appearance Adult females; C/D/other larger sized cup, [using one of Kendo's other BB replacers] I'm pretty sure this can be done, but how? Where do the mesh files for the different body types go when installing [which would have to be manually I'm assuming, using FOMM overwrites everything]I'm sure that they would have to be installed to different data files, but which specific ones am I looking for?Or do I have to use FNVEdit [which doesn't make sense to me, they're mesh files], or the GECK? [Gads, I hope not, I don't know how yet]. Any and all input/advice would be most helpful Want to stay young? Remain a student through life, learn something new everyday, no matter what! luthienanarion
You can create and use as many custom races as you want. However, FO3 and FNV use one skeleton for all races. If you install a bouncy-boobs skeleton of some sort, you're going to break every race that isn't designed to use that skeleton, including CotW/Shojo. wulvfen
Great information to get. I've always thought the Wastelands lacked children, if anything humanity has always continued to survive through their offspring. That said, I was playing with CotW and Lutana's CotW Expansion [both great mods] and wanted to bring a teenage race into my world and added the Shojo race [another great mod], followed by some of Kendo's body replacers, trying his BB mods. With the combination of some other mods I had running, I began having conflicts with my body meshes as the game progressed.I'm about gameplay and immersion mostly and found the vanilla games [i play both FO3 and FNV] lacking in the broader age spectrum that always existed.I'll happily lose the jiggle for my personal tastes in game depth and interactions as would be "more real" to me. I like my smooth running games and so far I'm really loving being able to get the game joy I'm looking for with these great mods all of you authors put out for us. I'm only a few months into modding as I learn the tools and in and outs and what does what goes where and why, so the more I know the better my world. Want to stay young? luthienanarion
Using a different skeleton for each race is something (one of the few things) they did right in Skyrim, at least. Glad to hear that you like the CotW Expansion! I'm adding the finishing touches to the final 1.0 build and bringing it out of "beta" status soon. wulvfen
Ah, Skyrim! There's a game I just have to wait to get, due to the fact my 'Talkie-Toaster-Oven' is having enough problems dealing with my older games as it is, and considering I've upgraded about as far as I can [better to save my money for the 'next gen.' that I'll be able to afford, as T-T-O is almost 8 years old now]. luthienanarion, yes, I really like your CotW expansion. Although I've had some issues with terrain [double ground layers and gaps big enough to have to jump over or I fall through], and dialogue activations, I'm 90% sure my problems are related to other mods I've had running conflicting with it and not quite getting it right in FNVEdit [still learning stuff] , but just as a note it seemed to be when I activated the CUTE shop in Goodsprings. Don't know if someone else has mentioned this problem to you before, if it exists at all. uhhh....maybe I should have posted that comment elsewhere? Coming out of Beta soon?! Looking forward to it! luthienanarion
I recently fixed the shop vendor dialogue problems in CotW in my scratch copy of LCWE. It sounds like another mod is trying to overlay terrain data that Gales changed to make a clear spot for the shop. I don't do world-building, so I'm not entirely sure how conflicts are resolved in that instance. That's the first I've heard of the ground misbehaving. I'm changing the way a lot of the back-end stuff works in the 1.0 build, so I'm going to have a short closed beta for it to make sure nothing explodes. Once I get some of the really complicated scripts finished, it's all fun and games adding new stuff. Feel free to point out bugs or issues in the comments for the mod. I don't mind at all. wulvfen
I will [as a matter of course and rote] make comments about the mods I use, whether it's to praise, critique, or query about problems that I'm experiencing. My previous question about "posted that comment elsewhere?" was meant to say should I have started a new thread about it, as it's not directly related to my original post? Or perhaps directly to the mod authors on their "PM"s?As for the ground issue, I'm certain it was related to AWOP and the Goodsprings Filler, maybe even Vurts WFO, all of which were running at the time [like I said, still learning FNVEdit and what am I doing? I DON'T KNOW! O.K., that.s not totally true, I'm just not experienced enough yet.], so don't quote me on that. Want to stay young?
