tazerty
One way of figuring out whether a HD mod is working is to take a screenshot of several places where you saved without moving as soon as you loaded, then activate the mod and take the same screenshots in the same save locations without moving, then drag the two pics together and compare them - zoom in and see whether if they are the same. -The DovahChicken I could try that, but since the mod is not activated in the 'Data files' options, it means I would have to move all the folders from the Data folder, reload the game, compare... I'll play the game the way it is, it is actually quite beautiful at the moment :) Loose files like most texture mods will not show up in the "Data files" under the Skyrim launcher. It should just work. ESP and ESMs are the only things you need to tick in that window to enable. It is definitely on ;) I had the shadow flicker problem, so I tried disabling only the Folder of "towns" because I was in Riverwood.... Wow, what a difference!!!!!! There's no way I'll play withouth the HD textures, the game is just one of the most beautiful games I've seen thanks to that :) Thanks again for your help, and Joyeux Noël :)
jwcarlson
If I am using NMM and I have installed and "checked" the box and then I press launch Skyrim, the mods I have checked should be loading, right?I, too, am playing Skyrim for the first time and installed mods shortly after starting the game. It's tough for me to know if I have them right or not. SkyUI is working because I had to do some SKSE deal and mess with some executables. I *think* wet and cold is working, I have the icicle thing... but I haven't noticed anything yet. I am only in Riverwood, though. :) The 2k textures I installed says Full - Dungeons... so what's that mean? I'm so clueless! :)
