Help! Need pointers on how to replicate mod behavior

Hello! I'll try to keep things brief.


I set about making some minor changes to a mod by os4s that I already had installed. Merely (or so I thought) making minor edits to meshes. However, I've changed all the relevant w2meshes yet I cannot find out how os4s was able to change the shape that her dresses adhere to (fig.1)

I've searched the whole mod, and there isn't any w2mesh that gives that shape (I've changed them all), yet when I load my packaged mod, my shape isn't referenced in her dresses, but is when she is not in her dresses. So how is this shape informing her dress? Is this info stored in the .redcloth files for each of the dresses? If so, how did os4s go about changing it?


Perhaps I just have to make the .redcloth attach to the meshes via w2ent? Or make the mesh be covered by the .redcloth in an .xml? How do I even start to track down how redengine builds her dress shape?


I'll take any help I can get. This is my first modding experience and I'm trying my best.
