Dweedle
I am also a Skyrim player so I "hopefully" have an idea how to install the mods, which I assume can be done via Wrye Bash, no too worried about that though. What I want to know is what are the best mods out there that you have played. I have had a look on the Nexus site but I am overwhelmed as there is much more content than there is for Skyrim. Also, I am downloading the unofficial patches. My version of Oblivion is also the 5th Anniversary Edition so I have Knights of the Nine (Loved this back in the day on 360) and Shivering Isles and once I have it fully installed I will update it, this is the retail version. Before I proceed I want to make two things clear: Please do not suggest porn related mods I am not interested in that sort of thing, nudity I can deal with, but please no bonking. Please keep it as lore friendly as possible or at least within the Elder Scrolls universe I really want to have an enhanced experience but don't want lord of the rings style things either. Ok! first of all, I am after new quests! I have absolutely thrashed vanilla Oblivion afew years ago but.. I was young and only played on easy, and as a warrior. But, I really want new quests, new guilds maybe.. new storys etc.. something more. Also, more areas to explore would be fantastic, more dungeons, lands etc. Face mods would be nice too, I would like to make more unique looking Player Characters, not really after body mods more after facial altering mods.. nothing extreme I just would like to make my characters look abit nicer than on the 360. Equipment mods would be great, would like to have more selection, same with magic.. would like more selection. Difficulty mods would be welcome too. Thank you for reading and thanks in advance. Oubliette
The simplest answer is to start at the top mods list. After you've gotten everything you want on there - then reevaluated whats left on your list of desired mods and use keywords plus the endorsement system to locate good mods to satisfy those remaining needs. Yes I've been looking at the top mods but I am feeling very overwhelmed, I did not anticipate such a large selection to be honest.
JCP768
A repost from a similar topic: The quest mod list lists the main quest mods out there and gives some indepth details on them. Particularly I'd recommend Integration, just read the description:Integration: The Stranded Light is an uniquely different quest mod. It deeply integrates your race, attributes/skills, and achievements in both Cyrodiil and The Shivering Isles into your options of completing its quests. The quests often have many solutions, usually tied into these aspects of your character. It includes more than 80 quests with a strong emphasis on thinking, character interaction, choices, consequences, and lore. A new, joinable guild plays an important role in many of the quests, which often focus on thinking rather than combat, social skills instead of fighting. It also reaches beyond the typical mold of quest mods, seeking to enrich the existing game world as whole by breathing new life into previously ignored aspects of the game, such as the "news" printed in the The Black Horse Courier. The quests don't all follow a single storyline. It's more like a collection of short stories than an epic novel. In addition to the new guild, you will also find interesting quest rewards inspired by the Less Annoying Magic Experience (LAME) mod, a new form of transportation, and enchanting/spellmaking capabilities for those not in the Mages Guild, a multistage in-depth optional romance, the first Shivering Isles guild, and so much more! Below is my usual copy/paste for these topics. it lists some useful links, some of my favorite mods, and asks some questions you can answer to get more recommendations customized to what you want. theuseless
look up the toql by devakim on google. Also, for weapons, go for Bob's Armory, Armamentarium and Armory of the Silver Dragon. Get a mod manager and learn how to merge leveled lists. If you have already beaten oblivion numerous times, I would suggest Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (ooo), but this can be complicated. Great castles: SeaviewAzure Palace (extends seaview well)Almgardmany many more, like it was stated, look up mods on the nexus by download, endorsement or size (if your hard drive is big enough)
