rayuki666
ok so i've added a few mods, changed the ini file in my docs/games. i go to load fallout 3 and click on datafiles. i enable the mods i want and the ticks come up. i click ok but when i go back into data files the ones i have checked become unchecked. i've tried numerous times to get them to load but they dont. even if i enable loose files or not (dont even know what this is) none of the mods are working. can anyone help? SpeedyB64
The load loose files box does nothing as far as I know. In my game I check off the mods I want enabled and they work, if I open the data files again they are unchecked, it seems to only uncheck them when you open data files. So you should open data files and check off the mods then close data files and the mods should work, you will just have to recheck them every time you open data files. If this doesn't work try the Fallout mod manager ( FOMM ). If they refuse to work with FOMM than you may have a conflict. Which mods are you running? C'mon people, don't turn me into a sour old man! Please, please, please use the search function when it comes to these types of queries. Myself and others have helped so many people with this and other similar queries that I dread reading these forums for the same questions to be asked over and over again. By using the search you'll save both yourself and me a hell of a lot of typing.

I was able to figure out how to apply the current mods by reading the Readmes in them XD
rayuki666
sigh im not an idiot, i searched for a good 30mins before i asked. i read the readmes and all that the only think i couldn't find suggested anywhere was the FOMM which i downloaded and that worked fine for me. maybe if the FAQ had answers to these sorts of questions it would make it easier. Believe me when I say that all I've pretty much done over the last week is answer the same question from many different people. I've walked them through to the best of my knowledge how to get mods working and to use FOMM as an alternative to the launcher. Are you telling me that in your 30 minutes of searching none of my threads or responses came up? Click on my name and check out my posts. I'm not looking for a noddy award or anything but you'll see a ton of answers to the problems that you encountered. Anyway, enough of that rant. I'm glad you've got it sorted

TehReaper
Conflicts with mods could be possible, for example if you have 2 mods that affect Perks, it might happen. But I just check the Data Files I want for the game, and it works good. Maybe you could browse in the Data File in your Fallout 3 folder, maybe theres an Automatic Uncheck thing on.
