Mod Request: More Efficient Rumor Gathering?

Got the game recently, and so far I am loving most of it, save for one thing that has been getting so tedious it has become annoying. Every time I want to gather a market rumor for the purpose of trading, I either have to hunt down a caravan and gather a single rumor from them that they are already in the middle of capitalizing on, or individually fiddle my way through a whole tavern's worth of people to possibly end up with a net gain of zero rumors whatsoever. Is there any way to mod the game in such a way that gathering rumors could be done from the town menu, like you would recruit troops or some such, and maybe even find better rumors with a higher trade skill?

I will admit I am not much of a coder myself, so if this gets an answer of a resounding NO due to code constraints, I completely understand.
