DrakeTheDragon
Hmm, that's not quite how this works. Vanilla resources (almost) can't be "overwritten" by normal mod install means. They will always be stored away inside their BSAs safe and sound, external loose file replacements only used "in their place" while present. A Vanilla Data folder is almost empty. I think it doesn't even have a "meshes" or "textures" folder at all. So first we'd have to find out "what" exactly the mod replaced, as it shouldn't have been the Vanilla files, and then "why" the game won't fall back to the Vanilla files, after you uninstalled the mod. What means of "Archive Invalidation" were you using by the way? Without Archive Invalidation a Steam game will never use an external loose file replacement over the one inside its BSA, so you must be using one or another. And there's still advice around to archaic and/or issue-inducing older means, which unlike normal mod install can very well damage the Vanilla files beyond repair, apart from through Steam's "Verify Integrity of Game Files" of course.
